EPHC is an inclusive community that welcomes participants and staff of all beliefs. El Programa Hispano Católico (EPHC) is seeking a Parent Child Qualified Mental Health Practitioner! Funded by the City of Portland Children's Levy, this bi-lingual (Spanish/English) Qualified Mental Health Practitioner (QMHP) position focuses on providing anti-oppressive strength based therapeutic services for Latine families who have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence. This position is responsible for promoting healthy parent child interactions for positive growth and development through the power of our Latine roots, culture, and community. The QMHP in this positio n will provide culturally and linguistically appropriate therapy services using a trauma informed approach with the intended goal of increasing safety and stability to help break the cycle of violence. **Sign on bonus of $3,000! First half to be paid out after first 30 days of employment and the second half after 90 days** This signing bonus is taxable, and all regular payroll taxes will be withheld. Essential Duties: Mental health assessment with Latine youth and their primary caregivers affected by Domestic Violence and/or Sexual Assault. Develop appropriate Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment and safety plans with families that address mental health symptoms caused by trauma exposure. Provide therapeutic intervention in a community setting including the home. Work in conjunction with parent-child specialists as part of a family support team. Attend weekly PCHIP meetings for case consultations and collaboration on family care. Co-facilitate therapeutic support group Saber Es Poder for adults and children. Participate in community meetings with other social service organizations to promote the agency as an identifiable resource for Latine survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence and maintain timely and cooperative contact with outside agencies. Maintain outreach, advocacy, leadership, and service to our community. Maintain thorough clinical documentation for a caseload of between 15 and 20 survivors. Work closely with Program Manager and Director of UNICA to complete program evaluations and documentation needed to stay compliant with the contractual agreements. Adherence to El Programa Hispano Católico policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements: Must be bilingual (Spanish/English) and bi-culturally competent. Ability to communicate concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing in Spanish and English. Master's degree in social/human services or mental health field or (QMHP). Experience working with survivors of interpersonal violence and trauma recovery (2 years preferred). Understand the effects of racism, discrimination, sexism, power, privilege and oppression on one's own life and career and those of the client. Demonstrate strong clinical and crisis management skills as well as comprehension of diagnostic criteria under DSM-5-TR. Commitment to EPHC mission to work in partnership with vulnerable populations to achieve lasting solutions to poverty and injustice. Demonstrate judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential matters. Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner. Ability to work well in team setting, as well as independently; be flexible and adapt well to different dynamics within a fast-paced environment. Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time management, problem prevention, and problem solving skills. Position may require travel within Multnomah County. Ability to support organizational and program specific mission and goals. Other Requirements: Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and working knowledge of Zoom, Google Meets, etc. Must have driver's license, access to vehicle and automobile insurance at levels required by agency (100/300/100). Satisfactory results from civil, criminal, and motor vehicle background check are required. COMPENSATION: $29.00 - $33.00/hr Location & Typical Working Conditions: The work performed by this position is accomplished through a combination of in office and community settings. In Person Work (75% of the time) Meeting with families in their homes and/or in the office, located in Gresham, Oregon, to provide therapeutic intervention. Remote from home (15% of the time) This position may allow remote work from home for administrative tasks such as documentation of client notes and some community partner and work-related virtual meetings. Note: Remote work is dependent on performance and may be revoked at supervisors' discretion. Travel, Evening, and Weekends (10% of the time) Job duties may also require occasional travel for trainings, community partner meetings, and funder program reporting meetings.
