Job Summary: To provide basic elder care under the supervision of a licensed nurse and assists in the maintenance of the household. Benefits we offer: sign on bonus health/dental/vision insurance PTO 401k / matching tuition reimbursement referral program Essential Functions: Assists with personal care under the supervision of the household nurse Perform basic household functions including spot cleaning of closets, high stand, beds, mattresses, side rails, drawers and over bed tables Assist co-workers in tidying dayrooms, utility rooms, spa, and any other areas around the household Provides PROM to elders Serves, assists and feeds residents at mealtimes Charts all pertinent information in appropriate place or flow sheet Understands and implements infection control standards especially hand washing and linen handling Adheres to Resident Bill of Rights Observes confidentiality of residents, employees and facility information Other duties as assigned Physical Demands: Be able to deal effectively with residents who may be physically and mentally abusive, have a good understanding of basic body mechanics, able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, and be able to push/pull up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, bend, and walk. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Minimum Qualifications: MUST HAVE CNA AND BE ON MINNESOTA REGISTRY Able to speak, read, and write the English language Proficient technical and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience in long term care Job Posted by ApplicantPro
