SUMMARY Routes, wires, assembles, and installs electrical and electronic components in roll forming equipment such as main junction and terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instruments, according to specifications, using jig boards, hand tools, and other equipment. HOURS 6:00 am - 2:30 pm M-F ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions. Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, sub-assemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment. Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications. Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly. SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED Able to use and understand all precision measuring instruments. Understands basic math concepts. Ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of material, setup sheets, etc. Able to use a wide variety of tools. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude Lifting up to 50 lbs. Requires standing, bending, twisting, lifting, walking EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED Prefer successful completion of related course work at a trade or technical school High school degree or equivalent OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES Must supply own hand tools. Ability and willingness to travel domestic and internationally as appropriate with COVID-19 protocols. Requires a strong, related work history. Ability to change assignments frequently. Can work well independently and with others. Observes safety and security procedures by using equipment and materials properly. Is consistently at work and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Follows instructions, responds to management direction. Takes responsibility for own actions. Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals Completes tasks on time.
