Plasman , is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as: QUALITY INSPECTOR - 2nd SHIFT Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with good communication skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Utilize inspection equipment and hand measurement tools to verify part dimensions Interpret blueprint notes and specifications Maintain a high degree of accuracy and precision in measurement of small tolerance dimensions Follow work instructions for standardized measurement techniques Complete data entry on an ongoing basis Identify non-conforming product and initiate containment procedures Conduct product audits according to the required schedule Participate in measurement systems analysis studies as requested by the Quality department Ability to identify visual defects through the use of standard operator alerts for known visual defects Complete any other duties as assigned MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED required Associates or certificate in quality inspection preferred MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 2-4 years working in a plastics manufacturing environment preferred 0-2 years of quality inspection experience in a precision molding environment preferred 0-2 years conducting measurements using typical hand tools preferred OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Understanding of expectations detailed through Organization Statements, Standards, Visions, Policies and Procedures (i.e. Mission, Values, Code of Conduct, Operational, Quality and Environmental Health & Safety) as reference in Employee Handbooks and communicated through Orientation and/or other training awareness opportunities. Additional training requirements may be identified that are commensurate with the duties, expectations, and responsibilities of the role. Strong analytical skills and critical and creative thinking. Relationship and communication skills are required to liaise with Technicians, Operations, Quality, and other production teams. Involvement in various special and ad hoc assignments will be required. Willingness to professionally challenge historical practices. Ability to perform well in high pressure situations Good communication skills in written and verbal formats Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office program Must possess basic math skills acquired through a education or experience, or a combination thereof.
