Light of Life Rescue Mission is a safe refuge for people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and related issues in the Pittsburgh area. Our Non-profit has been certified as a Best Christian Workplace for the past four years by BCWI, a national institute consulting faith-based organizations. We currently seek a full-time Case Manager & Care Team Leader for our Women and Children's Shelter. This person will walk closely alongside clients in a loving, grace-filled environment to help them navigate life circumstances. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Making decisions about the day-to-day care of clients. Providing case management and advocacy for clients, working as a liaison between the client and other organizations involved in client care. Tracking clients' care plan progress through one-on-one discussions and using our online client management system, MissionTracker. Facilitating groups and/or classes. Networking with related service providers to access needed services for clients and ensuring delivery. Providing input and support into Care Team decisions. Making decisions about any proposed activity that does not follow Light of Life principles, is unhealthy or harmful to recovery. Due to the interface with the clients, all jobs at Light of Life require employees to: Walk alongside clients as a disciple of Christ and share the Gospel through actions and words. Establish mutual trust and create a safe, authentic environment. Resolve all issues in ways that promote the principles of Light of Life. Exhibit love for Jesus, the staff, and the clients. Help the clients make choices that are justifiably in their eternal best interest. Practice effective stewardship of all resources. Model personal responsibility, accountability, timely reporting and a self-evaluative lifestyle Skills and Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative, able to work effectively with diverse groups of people. Ability to show genuine Christian love to clients Ability to build relationships and show interest in others. Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, human services, or related field Master's degree and/or licensed counselor preferred Knowledge from formal and experiential training in drug and alcohol recovery and mental illness 2-4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience HMIS experience and knowledge preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Light of Life Ministries Inc offers a comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision and other valuable benefits, which begin the first of the month following employment.
