MegaKC , your local Kansas City General Contractor, has an opening for an Estimator at our North Kansas City office! Our ideal Estimator candidate will be a self-starter, proficient in construction software , and possess the ability to coordinate and manage rapport with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and owners. Job Responsibilities: Know bid documents (plans, specs, addenda, soil reports, etc.) prior to bid review meetings . Effectively communicate risks in each bid to management. Attend client pre-bid meetings, v isit project sites and complete all pre-bid reporting . Track and communicate with all subcontractors and vendors involved in bid process. Review historical self-perform ed work production and cost compared to new estimates. Utilization of Track / Bid2Win / Procore / MS Project / Office 365 / Bluebeam software. Manage MBE, WBE and DBE best faith efforts. Post-bid reporting for project hand-off to project managers and superintendents. P articipate in start-up and closeout meetings with Project Team (Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Administrator, CEO, and COO).
