Full Job Description The Electrician is responsible for the installation, calibration, and repair of all electrical systems up to and including24v,120v, 480v. Performs repairs and installations as directed by the supervisor. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY & DUTIES Provide accurate and complete records as required for specific tasks. Maintain a safe and clean work area. Perform preventative and routine maintenance on all electrical systems. Maintain and troubleshoot VFD,MOTOR SOFT STARTER, PLCs, Motor Control Centers. Installs maintain and repair electrical circuits including wires, contactors, breakers, breaker boxes, and motor control components. Make necessary electrical installations and/or repairs; services plant ,crusher plant, conveyors ,MCC's, control systems, system process equipment components. Ensures that all new installations and repairs meet MSHA and OSHA requirements. Performs ground testing on new installations and completes yearly ground testing Responsible to provide all hand tools required for the performance of the position. Read and understand electrical schematics, and technical operational manuals. Follow work procedures safely and as defined for specific tasks. Accountable that all work complies with NEC and any state regulations. Performs various duties as directed by the supervisor. Safety & Environmental: Responsible and accountable for the performance, and compliance of mine ,plant site safety and environmental policies and procedures for all personnel and vendors.. Provide safety and environmental leadership by always setting a good example. Key Relationships: Ability to build trust and develop positive working relationships with site personnel . MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 4 years experience as a electrician. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Ability to operate a variety of light equipment, hand trucks, and vehicles. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Physical Demands: Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Able to wear and demonstrate to employees the use of personal protective equipment including hardhat, steel-toed footwear, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves (rubber, leather & cloth), and/or any other equipment required to do the job assigned safely. Able to lift 50 pounds periodically and 100 pounds occasionally. Able to read and interpret various safety warning signs and product MSDS, tags, and labels. Ability to distinguish various colors as they relate to safety warning signs, tags, and labels.
