Position Purpose: To assure all equipment and supplies are received accurately and promptly. Put new stock away and rotating older stock appropriately for proper utilization. To promptly fill orders, deliver supplies and equipment within the medical center and its subsidiaries. Position Qualifications Education: High School Graduate or G.E.D. preferred. Experience: At least one (1) year experience in stock handling. Able to work well with numbers, both for identification and utilization. Able to function well with computers and terminals for accurate entry of pertinent data. Licenses/Certificates: Current Driver's License Working Conditions: Understand and follow established policies and procedures as well as written and oral instructions.Manual dexterity that allows for the movement and handling of supplies and equipment in a timely and skillful manner to avoid damage or injury.Must be able to detect errors on incoming supplies and equipment, and discern received items from ordered items.Able to communicate clearly and concisely, oral and written.Must have basic computer, keyboarding, and mouse skillsMaintain confidentialityDemonstrate a positive attitude toward patients, visitors, physicians and coworkers.Must demonstrate the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.Must be able to organize and handle a sizable workload, and be able to work independently with little or no direct supervision.Must be able to understand the inventory process and bring to the Manager's attention any issues that seem out of the ordinary.Keep Manager informed of all potential problems.Must have regular attendanceComplete assigned work in a timely manner.Must maintain a clean and safe work area.Complete orientation program and on-going education in accordance with established policies and procedures.Perform other duties as determined by supervisor.Serves as resource to newly hired staff and assists in the training of new Associates.Stand; walk more than 6 hours per day.Must be able to lift and position on shelving, carts and pallets supplies and items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance repetitively.Must be able to lift and position items of at least one hundred (100) pounds with assistance.Full range of motion and manual dexterity of upper extremities.Must be able to pull or push heavy items with a pallet jack.Hearing adequate for individual and group communication.Required working in both warm and cold environments, as work includes outdoor activities during all seasons.Work around equipment and machinery with moving parts.Possible lacerations, scratches, puncture; minor injury from equipment.Must be able to facilitate the Cart Replenishment function as needed, in the absence of the PAR Cart Supply Technician.Have the ability to determine and fulfill duties within an Inventory Locator System.
