This position is responsible for the appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment, and to minimize loss, waste, and fraud. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: NOTE: Brewer Oil Co. unilaterally may change the requirements of this job description at any time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These include, but are not limited to, the following: Prepare food to be served, using established production procedures and systems Determine amount, type of food, and supplies required, using production systems Ensure availability of supplies and food, or approved substitutions, in adequate time for preparation Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards Ensure proper food preparation and handling techniques Store food properly and safely, marking date and item Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to Grill Manager Clean up grill area Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications (includes education, skills and experience): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum high school graduate, or equivalent, preferred Must be a minimum of 17 years of age Must have basic reading and writing ability Prior experience in related food service position helpful Must follow safe work practices Responsible for reporting equipment repair and maintenance needs Supports, and participates in, common teamwork Good communication skills while working with customers Must follow uniform dress code, including personal hygiene Regular daily use of slip resistant shoes required Needed Attributes: Able to work with a diverse group of people Customer service oriented; positive and friendly attitude Dependable, self-starter, self-motivated Working Conditions and Physical Effort: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Extended time standing to provide customer service Ability to reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, push and pull items weighing a minimum of 50 pounds Work area contains increased heat levels for extended periods of time Must use cleaning chemicals and sprays to clean work area
