July 5, 2023 through July 31, 2023 Part-time / Seasonal / Hourly - No Benefits Monday - Friday / 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (One day a week will be 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. due to a weekly field trip) EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: Previous experience working with students of various ages in or outside of the classroom Professional Educator License or Youth Services Experience preferred ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following duties, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by incumbents of this class.) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (which are not in any hierarchical order) Must be 18 years or older and able to meet physical demands of job. Plan daily lessons around specific themes which will include stem and craft activities as well as recreational and game activities Prepare park for students' arrival Take daily attendance Maintain discipline and if necessary, contact parents if any student(s) are not adhering to summer program rules Inform parents of any upcoming field trips or events Supervise students and staff on all field trips Communicate with park board president or designee as necessary Attend all planning meetings and summer staff meetings Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma; Valid Driver's License; Ability to pass a background check and any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skill and abilities.
