Description:
The Project Engineer's position establishes the essential principles for an individual's growth and success within Ben Hur Construction. In this hands-on role, you will gain experience with project controls and communications while learning the technical aspects of constructing a project. This position is the initial step in developing the skills for the role of Project Manager. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Project Manager to help facilitate all aspects of our projects Facilitate the flow of information among owner, architect, engineers, internal project team, subcontractors, and suppliers Assist Project Manager with and document project coordination meetings Work with Project Manager to set project schedules Create, manage, process and log RFIs and submittals Monitor and document job-site safety and accident prevention Procure, expedite, and monitor material and equipment fabrication and delivery Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems Manage and coordinate subcontractors' field installations Review change proposals from subcontractors Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment Identify and document close-out procedures Prepare and provide owner with as-builts, warranty letters, maintenance, and operation manuals Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field General knowledge of construction principles and practices Self-starter, strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment Minimum of two years of experience in commercial or industrial construction is preferred Ben Hur Construction (BHC Holdings) is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer regardless of race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, marital status, genetic information, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
