Licensed Social Worker-Director of Social Work Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is conducting a search for a Licensed Social Work Director to oversee our Social Services division at our world-class skilled nursing facility located on the Queens-Long Island border. Reporting to the Vice President for Patient Care Services, the Director of Social Work provides departmental oversight, clinical education and administrative supervision to encompass regulatory guidance for patient care, patient and family education, clinical leadership and management of the Social Work staff. Qualifications: Although not all inclusive, these are the key attributes we are seeking: New York State Social Worker License (LMSW or LCSW) Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program 5+ years of social work experience; prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility strongly preferred At least three years of demonstrated leadership experience Knowledgeable in Medicare and Medicaid regulations Demonstrate leadership ability, lead teams, empower staff, organized and detailed oriented Manages interruptions to triage resident care priorities and changing situations Communicates effectively and works well with others, is cooperative and helpful Delegates well and respects others Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 Job Posted by ApplicantPro
