Description:

Overview: JHNA is seeking an engineer experienced in software development. This role will support the Aviation and Missile Center Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I) Directorate in Huntsville, AL located at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The successful candidate will work with a team to validate third party integration of systems to ensure MOSA alignment with HW and SW capability insertions and replacements. Roles/Responsibilities: Participate as a member of a multifunctional integrated product team. Agile model-based software development using C++ and the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) for embedded avionics systems. Complete tasks on time and in compliance with program processes/procedures. Derive and manage system requirements. Develop system test cases. Develop and manage software requirements. Assist in the review and analysis of verification methods and results. Assist in the development and update of verification processes and procedures. Participate in the software development processes, including definition, design, implementation, documentation, and testing. Independently analyze system behaviors to troubleshoot and harden software. Analyze current processes and recommend improvements. Prepare, write, and deliver software reports, as directed by project managers. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or closely related technical field. Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance. Competency in developing C++ software. Must understand FACE specifications. Experience working with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as Eclipse CDT or Microsoft Visual Studio Experience with Linux operating systems Software testing and analysis experience, testing against specified system requirements and performing system level tests. Knowledge of systems engineering processes for the development and documentation of system and test requirements and assessment/verification requirements. Working knowledge of system architecture and interface specifications. Ability to travel. Must be able to effectively interact with Government customers and contractors. Ability to successfully comprehend and adhere to technical and operational standards/processes. Qualifications Desired: An active Secret clearance
