FUNCTIONAL ROLE A Controls Technician is responsible for Installation and Service of Building Automation Systems under the direction of the Controls Manager to perform the day-to-day activities of the project while achieving lowest cost, adequate schedule, high quality and safety goals set by Controls Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the installation and Commissioning of BAS Systems Proficient with multiple BAS programming languages including PPCL and Function Block Proficient with Building Graphics for BAS Systems Experience with HTML Graphics Provide routine maintenance and repair service for HVAC Controls Systems Diagnosing operating problems and determining solution for repair on all types of Control Systems The Controls Technician will exhibit proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting and repairing of Control Systems. Communicates with customer regarding diagnosis and resolution regarding operating problems with BAS Systems Performs repairs, commissioning, firmware updates and calibration of BAS Systems Performs preventative maintenance and site surveys of BAS Systems Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary Maintains vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service Documents work by completing paperwork including labor records, materials used and resolutions in accordance with company standards on each job and maintaining files in a timely and accurate manner Communicates daily with administrative team on activities and work Attends additional training offered by manufacturer's and in-house personnel Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A minimum of five (5) years' experience as a commercial HVAC technician or successful completion of accredited apprentice program required. EXPERIENCE Troubleshoot and Service Trane, JCI Tridium and Alerton Control systems Program Siemens and Honeywell BAS Systems Build graphics and operator interfaces for BAS systems Write programs for Siemens, Honeywell and Easy IO Controllers Applicant must have 4 years of Building Automation Controls Experience COMPUTER SKILLS Advance Computer skills Comp TI A certification or equivalent experience Comp Network certification or equivalent experience Comp Security certification or equivalent experience Experience with Autocad, or Visio to update and modify Control drawings Job Posted by ApplicantPro
