What your day looks like: Provide production engineering support and guidance to Operations department, namely sub-tier suppliers, manufacturing engineering, and quality assurance with First Article component realization and follow-on production realization Ensure correct customer requirements are flowed down to sub-tier supplier and support them with any engineering guidance/interpretation they require for compliant product realization Provide feedback to Operations on sub-tier supplier performance, capabilities and capacity Provide Commercial team with engineering support as required to interpret engineering flow down for cost estimating and related activities Provide support to management as required with assigned tasks related to production and project management needs Lead the production implementation of new products, methods, or processes related to industrialization of additive manufacturing Propose improvements to increase profitability, competitiveness, reliability, quality, safety, etc. Adhere to and promote applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security Guidelines Other duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of business ( This position will have access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. U.S. person as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) ) We're thrilled to find candidates with: Experience with all facets of aerospace manufacturing, including manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, procurement and supply chain development Experience in aerospace manufacturing, preferably from a machining-supplier job shop environment. Experience using CATIA or similar CAD software General understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T requirements Familiarity with hard metal, titanium or alloy machining BS or MS in engineering, preferably Aerospace, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering Thorough knowledge of machining best practices Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Visio Fluent mastery of English language Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles Other Competencies critical to success include: Proactive, self-driven and eager to learn Collaborative working skills Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously Good communication and cooperation skills Able to work independently in a structural manner, take initiative and complete processes Structure and accuracy in daily work The ability to read and apply Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Work and Work Instructions Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willingness to adhere to and promote the NTi values of glød, collaboration, creative curiosity, trust, respect, and integrity Physical Requirements: The ability to sit in front of a computer for 8 or more hours daily The ability to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and controls, to operate a computer and telephone keypad The ability to sit in front of a computer for 8 or more hours daily Good vision (20/40) with or without corrective devices and the ability to distinguish colors The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
