HIRING IMMEDIATELY: Substitute Retail Associate Bad Dog Boutique , a division of The Arc Ontario , is a unique social enterprise storefront in the heart of Main Street in Canandaigua, serving dog lovers specialty retail items and exceptional grooming services. We offer unique products and great customer service with strong social value in a fun and entertaining environment. All COVID-19 safety requirements are strictly adhered to at The Arc Ontario and all PPE are provided for all employees. The safety of the individuals we support and the safety of our employees are both very important to The Arc Ontario. Training on all safety requirements will be provided during the onboarding process. Our Story: Founded in 1954, The Arc Ontario is a resource for people with disabilities or other challenges and their families, providing services and supports that encourage people to fulfill their potential. When you join our team, you'll be making a difference every day; in someone else's life and in your own. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain the general order of the boutique, ensuring that all products are stocked and displayed per our standards. Greets all customers with friendly, personalized service and develops a rapport with customers. Develop solutions for customers by listening to their needs and recommending the appropriate products. Educate customers about various retail items and assist them in making a purchase that meets their needs and encourages them to return. Provides product recommendations to increase sales. Addresses customer complaints/concerns and brings forward to management to address in a timely manner. Clean or sanitize work areas, including but not limited to the Spa, Bathrooms, Retails space and program space. Takes out garbage as needed. Order, receive, or stock supplies or retail product. Restocks shelves on a regular basis. Receive and process customer payments. Follows company policy and procedure at all times, Including, but not limited to, assisting coworkers, cash register procedures, open/close procedures. Reports and safety concerns or accidents to the manager for immediate protective measures. Represents the agency culture and values with all staff, coworkers, customers and suppliers. Schedule: Substitute hours- Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Varies due to need Location: 84 S. Main St., Canandaigua, NY Retail Associate Substitute Qualifications : High School degree. At least two years' experience in retail or similar customer service position preferred.
