The Development Manager is a key staffer in the Development area. A generalist development officer whose primary responsibility is project management of the grant program for MKBC with a dditional primary responsibility of developing and managing PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program, supporting annual giving, marketing and stewardship. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of grant process from pre award to post award including research, identification, development, writing, tracking, and stewardship. Responsible for identifying new opportunities and working with MKBC Department Heads, managers and external partners to develop funding proposals for gifts and grants from foundations, organizations, corporations and government entities. Work to ensure MKBC is among the organizations listed on Commonwealth list of organizations eligible to receive EITC funding and market to organizations to secure EITC funds Working with internal staff to shape relationships, programs and proposals for all funding initiatives Supports annual giving functions including marketing and stewardship. Education and Experience: Bachelors in Communication - Preferred 5 years Grant Writing - Preferred 4 years Fund Development - Preferred 4 years Marketing - Preferred 3 years Raiser's Edge - Preferred Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate Extensive experience in full management of a non-profit grants program Experience in EITC program fund development Experience in other major areas of development particularly annual, stewardship and marketing Excellent communications skills, strategic thinker, team spirit GREAT Benefits: Generous health coverage with a low deductible of $500.00 Employer pays employees' full premium for Health & Dental when they participate in a company sponsored Wellness Program- Savings of over $1,000 per year Payment to employee if they are covered under alternative insurance ($330-$375 stipend paid out quarterly) Tuition Reimbursement for Phlebotomy Courses of up to $3,000 Fitness/Gym Membership- Up to $25/month reimbursement for membership to fitness center of employee's choice 403b Retirement Plan- . Annual increases New Hire Bonuses: You will be eligible to receive, upon completion of 180 days of service, and successfully passing probation, a $500 retention bonus.
