We are looking to hire a Maintenance position for our equipment needs for our first shift. This position will work on a team that repairs and maintains all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components of the production area and the facility. Essential Functions: Must have flexibility regarding work schedule based on business needs. Troubleshoots equipment problems and works with supervisors to assure consistent uptime of all equipment. Identifies and detects wear and/or mechanical problems that will affect continued operation of all equipment. Sets up and operates the necessary tools used in maintaining uptime of all equipment. Performs Preventative Maintenance activities. Will grease, oil, clean and check on all machines on a regular schedule. Works with the Maintenance Lead in scheduling and helping with new equipment set-up when necessary. Presence in the workplace is an essential function of this job. Hours are typically from 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday Additional Functions: Performs visual inspections on all facilities to locate any possible issues. Works with the maintenance team to trouble shoot any machine and production related quality issues. Handles any weather-related emergencies such as snow and ice removal. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Strong mechanical and electrical ability to perform all preventative maintenance procedures required. Strong teamwork skills. Knowledge of PLC and PLC troubleshooting a must. Strong ability to plan and anticipate upcoming issues relating to maintenance upkeep and production. Strong ability to troubleshoot and recognize mechanical and electrical issues that may arise. Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language for safety purposes in an understandable manner. Technical electronics degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience required. Working Conditions: Our production environment is typical for wood manufacturing and includes a variety of environmental elements including loud noise, dust and aromas. While this is an indoor operation, temperatures will vary with the outdoor temperature and some areas of the shop may be hot or cold. Activities occur both indoors and outdoors. Worker may be subject to vibration. Worker is subject to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles and/or heat. Physical Requirements: Positions are physically demanding and may be strenuous. They are standing positions and include frequent walking, lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds. There are a lot of body movements, including extending arms, grasping with hands and flexing of wrists. There may be a lot of bending and twisting. Each position requires ongoing rotations of movements and workers must have the physicality to perform the essential functions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 150 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
