ESSENTIAL DUTIES The Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the maintenance and service of vehicles. Meet and greet Service customers Install paper floor mats, cover front driver's seat with plastic cover Keep Service drive clear of vehicles Park service vehicles into the service parking area. Park completed cars in completed lot area. Wash/vacuum/dry finished service vehicles. Wash EVERY Lincoln Service vehicle. Pull up finished vehicles for customer pick up. Maintain the oil room. Crush oil filters. Remove trash daily from the shop/service drive. Pick up trash around the dealership as needed. Take vehicles to body shops for estimates/repairs. Take loaner cars/shuttles for gas. Clean and maintain loaner cars. Vacuum all Lincolns with the wash Other functions and special projects may be assigned Service Porter Position Requirements Valid California driver's license Insurable by Dealership (including but not limited to: No DWI convictions within the past 3 years; No more than 2 moving violation and/or fault accident in the last 3 years) At least 5 years driving experience (either on the job or off the job) is preferred Ability to handle machinery safely Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission automobile Ability to use hand and power tools Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information Regular and prompt attendance is required.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, accept constructive criticism and work amicably with others is required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
