To support our growth, we are looking for an experienced Multi-State Payroll, Benefits and Compliance Specialist to join our team.. We provide the valuable and essential service of placing healthcare workers on assignment at hospitals in need of temporary staffing. We specifically specialize in the placement of nurses and advanced practice nurses across the entire United States. Consequently, our payrolls are complex, multi-state payrolls, our benefits are diverse, and our compliance needs, based both in the payroll and benefits sectors and industry sectors are complex also. The key functions of the position are: Management of the company's payroll multi-State processing. Oversight of our payroll practices with a view to compliance, tax management, state withholding and unemployment tax setups, appropriate deductions and management of retirement plan responsibilities. Managing complex retirement plan oversight, potential corrections, and overall compliance. Administering, overseeing and auditing employee benefits programs to cost-effectively maintain or enhance benefit levels. Overseeing compliance and ensuring Ethos stays compliant with all regulations and government requirements, both payroll and benefit related and industry specific; this in coordination with legal counsel as needed. Responsible for effective onboarding, offboarding, and day-to-day management of employee, carrier and governmental questions. Filing of any and all compliance information (EEO reporting, 5500 reporting, etc.). Conducting annual open enrollment and employee education. Managing the payroll system to its fullest potential by harnessing technology to create efficiencies. Direct oversight and management of the Payroll team. Cross departmental collaboration with the Billing team to ensure hours worked by our nurses are appropriately billed Reports to Director of Finance with dotted line to HR Generalist. Qualifications: 4-year degree in a business-related discipline 5+ years of experience directly related to the key duties of the role Experience in complex, multi-state payroll and benefits/taxes A can-do attitude with experience leading a team and building a strong company culture High proficiency with spreadsheets and other analytical tools CEBS and/or CPP credentials preferred but not required If this is you, we'd like to hear from you.
