The Town of Milford Public Works Department and Community Development Office are pleased to announce the opening for an engineering intern for the summer of 2019. Under the direction of the Public Works and Community Development Directors, the intern(s) selected will assist staff with inputting existing assets and their associated data into the town's asset management software (Cartegraph OMS and ArcGIS) online. The intern will conduct field work, collect public infrastructure and stormwater data using GIS, conduct field investigations, prepare maps, and perform support functions as needed. Training will be provided as needed. Candidates must have successfully completed at least one term of post-secondary education. Experience using AutoCAD, ESRI, ArcGIS/ArcView is highly desirable. Basic understanding of geographical information systems (GIS), or computer aided design (CAD) methodology and principles is recommended. The work period budgeted is up to twelve (12) weeks from May through August 2019. Candidate is required to have a valid NH driver's license with a good driving record.
