The Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council, an organization focused on building courage, confidence, and character, is looking to hire for our upcoming camp season at Skyland Ranch in Southern California. This is a rewarding position consisting of approximately 45 working days, competitive wages, and free room and board. Our Council owns and operates Skyland Ranch, a magnificent 192-acre camp property in the San Jacinto Mountains below the town of Idyllwild. Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, currently serves more than 8,000 registered Girl Scouts in partnership with more than 4,500 adult volunteers A Day in the Life as a Cabin Couselor As a Cabin Counselor, you awake each day ready to make a positive difference in the lives of our camp participants. You provide assistance in the development, implementation, and deliver of the Girl Scout program to the units. You are knowledgeable about the needs of campers including special needs such as diet, medication, bedwetting, etc. as well as supervise all aspects of the camper's day from wake-up to meals to program to rest time, and more! You assist in the opening and closing of the camp as well as evaluate the current camp season and provide recommendations for future camping seasons. You love that you get to be involved in such a variety of tasks and get great satisfaction out of making a positive impact in the lives of those you serve.
