NBME is looking to hire a Director, Relationship Strategy. The purpose of this position is to collaborate with colleagues across NBME to develop and oversee execution of a relationship management strategy that is aligned with and in support of NBME strategic goals and operational priorities so that we can leverage and grow our relationships within medical education to maximize our impact. This role has been designated as primarily remote which means it generally does not require onsite work more than an average of 2-3 times per month and may require additional prescheduled onsite work. We're open to considering candidates in the following states: PA, NJ, DE and MD. RESPONSIBILITIES Work with divisions and units across NBME to develop and maintain a strategy for relationship management within the House of Medicine, aligned with organizational strategy. Develop and manage specific goals for relationship development/management within the House of Medicine, including prioritization of such goals. Develop and manage a process to oversee and monitor the success of the relationship strategy execution, assess progress toward established goals, and make adjustments as needed. Develop and manage a process for cross-unit collaboration and information sharing about strategic relationships. Develop and manage a process and/or system to manage information related to strategic relationships. Develop and manage a process to manage requests for NBME panelists, speakers, etc. and distribute opportunities in a way aligned with the strategy. Develop and keep current an inventory of strategic relationships held by NBME staff. Develop and keep current documentation about which unit within NBME is accountable for what kinds of relationship management activities, and who is the primary NBME contact for different organizations (RASCI). Identify areas of opportunity for further coordination and/or consolidation of activities, and any gaps in this space. Assess ongoing staffing needs to manage this strategy and process. Hold external relationships as needed to advance NBME strategic objectives . QUALIFICATIONS Skills and Abilities Strong facilitation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to lead without authority and collaborate across functions and levels. Broad knowledge of NBME; understanding of the House of Medicine and how NBME fits within it. Excellent written and oral communication skills. High emotional intelligence; resilient; able to influence change. Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically, develop and execute a plan, and manage change. Experience 10 or more years' experience in roles of increasing responsibility Experience within the House of Medicine a plus Education Bachelor's degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience About NBME: NBME offers a versatile selection of high-quality assessments and educational services for students, professionals, educators, regulators and institutions dedicated to the evolving needs of medical education and health care.
