Job Title: Shift Scheduler Department: Operations Reports to: Project Controller Cementation is quickly expanding our above ground and underground mine contracting and engineering services in North America. Specializing in the design and construction of above ground and underground mine facilities, Cementation is focused upon safety and the relationships we build with clients and employees, seeking to make them long-term. We are currently accepting resumes for experienced Construction Scheduler. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB (Summary) Plan and prepare shift schedules with the assistances of Operations and Engineering. Prepare daily reports evaluating the duration / cost of scope changes to the baseline schedule. Track, log, and provide timely reporting on daily underground mining activities utilizing GroundHog as a method of short interval control. Plan and prepare breakout schedules for superintendents, shift supervisors and engineering to facilitate work planning and procurement activities as required. Maintain records of and provide logistical support to contractor mining activities. Work a rotating shift schedule (7 day on 7 days off, day shift and night shift) Other duties as assigned. Requirements Preferably working experience in mining or heavy construction industries. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) Generate shift schedules including resource loading, forecasting, and updating. Generate daily reports to the client with attention to details and relevant performance metrics. Track and understand relevant performance metrics (SPI). Proficiency in building spreadsheets and reports to manipulate data. Ability to translate data into actionable items. Technical degree or experience preferred but not required. Could communicate effectively and perform as part of a project team to support the success of the project. Experience: High School Diploma Entry level 1-2 years of mining experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required. Knowledge of short interval controls or scheduling tracking software (Pitram, Groundhog, Deswik) preferred. Proficient in data entry MSHA training or relevant heavy industry experience preferred. Skills: Well organized Good verbal and written communication Detail oriented notetaking Knowledge and practice of proper radio etiquette Multi-tasking abilities Ability to read and write in English. Quick learning skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
