3pm-11pm with every 3rd weekend. Rotating holidays. A Housekeeper performs custodial work in patient rooms, offices, halls, dining rooms and other interior public and privates spaces of the facilities, performing the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping staff in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facilities to assure the facilities are maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner. Operates commercial vacuums and sweepers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for a Housekeeper: Sweeps, vacuums, mops, and scrubs floors using industrial vacuum cleaners Sometimes uses ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds. Moves furniture, boxes, crates and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as furniture, rugs, drapes, walls and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, dining areas, etc. Launders RN bags and certain equipment, supplies including rugs. Qualifications: Education/Certification High School Diploma/GED preferred. Experience Previous experience with the use of commercial cleaning equipment preferred. Experience operating floor equipment such as burnishers, scrubbers and extractors preferred. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
