Summer Intern (Engineering and Business Majors) Location : Huntsville, AL We are accepting resumes for either undergraduate or graduate students pursuing majors in Engineering or Business. This Internship provides a hands-on learning experience directly related to responsibilities that transfer to skills needed in a full-time position with us. The opportunity is available to develop, participate and learn key roles and functions within construction engineering operations. We are looking for the next generation of leaders who strive for excellence and have the drive and desire it takes to work in the fast paced, heavy construction environment . Primary Responsibilities: Work with a vibrant and diverse team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical and heavy industrial systems. Support both administrative and construction activities as assigned by reviewing proposals/specifications, drawings, perform material takeoffs, prepare cost estimates and attend pre-bid investigation meetings. Execute business initiatives while receiving hands-on experience. Utilize education, training, and experience to perform assigned job functions under close supervision of a manager or other designated employees. Develop skills necessary to rotate within the assigned department to get a comprehensive understanding of running the business. Opportunity to make an impact on the business by conducting a summer-long process improvement project. Required Experience & Skills In pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering or Business. Overall GPA of 3.0 or above is required Student must be a U.S Citizen At least 18 years of age Excellent problem solving skills Strong attention to detail Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) Ability to work on a team. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret.
