Midland University, a private, liberal arts college in Fremont, Nebraska, (just outside of metro Omaha) is seeking an exceptional adjunct faculty member to teach pediatric course content (didactic) within a medical surgical/pediatric nursing course in the School of Nursing beginning in August 2023. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: collaborating with nursing course faculty to prepare and teach didactic course content in pediatric nursing care. Qualifications: Unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the state of Nebraska or Iowa. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required or Doctorate preferred Experience in pediatric nursing education/practice. Ability to create relevant learning opportunities in the class setting that fosters clinical judgment and critical thinking. Passion for preparing nursing professionals with the knowledge and skills to enter the health care marketplace. The ideal candidate will possess the following: Previous teaching experience in pediatric nursing content. A willingness to collaborate with faculty peers. A genuine interest in student development. An ability to work with diverse student populations. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster a collegial work environment that encourages change and innovation. An ability to interact effectively and work productively, cooperatively, and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups. Compensation/Benefits: Wages paid on a per course basis commensurate with education, experience, and individual strengths. An engaging, respectful and productive working environment.
