Sante Health System is seeking to hire a per diem Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) at our medical office site, Valley Sleep and Wellness Center in the Fresno, CA area. You will play a critical role in performing and evaluating routine and specialized overnight polysomnograms (PSGs), Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLTs) as outlined in the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). QUALIFICATIONS Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) Must be licensed by the Medical Board of CA Polysomnographic Techs Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards Minimum 1 year experience as RPGST Must have understanding of all aspects of sleep medicine and its related disorders, as well as complete technical knowledge of sleep diagnostic equipment. To include but not limited to: baseline polysomnography, BiPAP/ CPAP/ASV Titration studies, Oxygen supplementation, Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), and Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT) in accordance to the AASM guidelines and clinic's policy and procedures. High level of customer service with a genuine, caring approach to helping people. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. Candidates should have exceptional people and communication skills, be highly skilled in multi-tasking in a fast paced environment, a commitment to achieving a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, maintain confidentiality, and a no-task-too-small approach to the work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. Perform studies on pediatric patients 13 years and older. Collect and record in the proper Log for HSAT and In-Lab Studies Charts all patient events, behaviors, and information. Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, minor repairs, cleaning, and disinfecting equipment. Ensure all required equipment is set-up in the exam room for each scheduled test. Assist in evaluating new equipment for the lab. Assist in the training of other Sleep Disorder Technicians. Learn and practice PSG software and EMR. Stay current on sleep literature and new technologies. Performs other duties as assigned. SCHEDULE Per Diem Occasional days to perform MSLTs as requested.
