Oakbrook Corporation is looking to add an experienced Property Accountant to our team in Madison, WI. The Property Accountant is responsible for preparing timely and accurate financial statements for assigned property portfolio. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU Work with a "hometown" company proudly serving the Midwest since 1987 Work as part of a professional team of property accountants Professional development and learning Stability and strategic organizational growth Employee engagement events throughout the year Comprehensive benefits package including generous PTO, paid holidays, 401k, health, dental, vision, life, LTD, EAP, and more DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare monthly financial statement analysis according to GAAP with variance reporting Complete the month end process General ledger analysis of accounts Record monthly adjusting and accrual entries Compile monthly financial statement package with required supporting documentation Monitor cash balances and recommend capital calls and distributions from/to investors Review payables to ensure proper expense coding and timely payment of invoices Ability to timely process and submit filings to various governmental agencies Assist in the annual audit and tax return preparation Assist in annual budget preparation Demonstrates and follows the Oakbrook Values: Ethical, Professional, Collaborative, Family All other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Property accounting experience, preferred General ledger experience Independent and detail oriented and ability to be a team player Problem analysis and problem resolution Computer proficiency and software experience ABOUT OAKBROOK CORPORATION We have been proudly serving the Midwest since 1987.
