Industrial X-Ray Technician Starting Pay Rate - $24.63 - $33.33/hr (based on experience and credentials) Shifts Available Aluminum 2nd Shift (Mon - Thur 3:00 pm to 1:20 am), OT as scheduled Job Description Non-Destructive Test Technician uses automated and manual techniques including radiography to perform non-destructive tests to identify errors or defects in products. Reads work instructions, blueprints, and other specifications to obtain product information. Collects samples and visually inspects and/or performs routine testing on the quality of raw materials, first article, in-process, or finished goods according to blueprints, company standards, customer specifications, and any applicable standards by safely using radiographic equipment. Rejects defective parts, and notifies appropriate personnel when a product fails to meet standards. Tracks, records, and ensures all documentation is complete and accurate. Instructs others on work instructions and specific techniques. Inspects for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications. Responsible for quality of work and appropriately resolving unusual operating conditions. May assemble, pack and/or package a wide variety of products or materials. May occasionally operate a forklift. Willingly modifies work schedule and duties to accommodate company needs. All other duties as assigned. May require successful completion of specific education, training, or certifications. Minimum Requirement Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, reading and understanding English language work instructions, ANST/IRRSP certification Preferred Education: A two-year technical or equivalent degree Minimum Skills/Experience: one year in a similar position, mechanical aptitude, effective computer use, basic Math skills, independent decision-making, and effective self-management. Preferred Skills/Experience: above PLUS- three or more years of relevant experience gained through on-the-job instruction, apprenticeship programs, and increasingly more complex assignments, strong aptitude as demonstrated through success at increasingly more complex assignments Functional Requirements Routinely able to: Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch, and bend Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering fork truck Walk, sit, or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
