Residential Program Assistant

Description: Provides administrative/clerical support to Adult Residential Program group. Applies basic and some advanced clerical/support or paraprofessional skills in procedures, processes, and techniques appropriate for the position within the assigned functional area. This is an entry level full time hourly (non-exempt) administrative position. Typical work schedule is M-F 8:00 am 4:30 pm, for 40 hours per week. However, this position is also required to fill in as direct care staff in the houses, which may occasionally require working outside these stated hours. We will consider anyone who: Has a High School Diploma/GED (Preferred not Required) Has a minimum of two years of clerical/administrative experience Has minimum of 1-year experience in an Adult Residential Program required. Has some advanced education/professional development classes/certifications in providing administrative support desired Is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and other computer software programs. Is 18 years old or older Possesses a valid driver's license for at least one (1) year, but prefer two (2) years, not counting any time on a learner's permit. Can pass a basic reading comprehension and math test, a background check, and pre-employment screenings which include a drug screen and physical/fitness test. Is physically fit in order to lift and transfer at least 50 pounds Has the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure the health and safety of the persons served. Can attend our paid specialized training (Held M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm) offered in the first two weeks of employment.
