This role will establish strong connections with our internal software solutions teams and will perform engineering work related to designing unique and complex software for Bühler die cast machinery. Tasks Concept development and implementation of various automation tasks within a die casting machine and cell. Specification and verification of machine and cell automation software Consideration of electric, hydraulic and mechanical constraints and working in close partnership with the mechanical engineering and hardware planning departments Concept development and implementation of new HMI applications based on latest technology for machine visualizations. Specification and verification of HMI modules Maintain the cell / machine software engineering and its documentation during the product life cycle. Define and execute continuous improvements in coordination with product and project management. Leading external resources regarding specifications and schedule training of customer service, sales and application technology during development projects Support of engineering, sales and customer service Responsibility for software engineering for machine and cell control systems during development Responsibility to coordinate with different partners and achieving milestones and target costs. Responsibility to maintain the tools needed for efficient work. Product responsibility during life cycle Able to travel up to 30% including internationally. Required qualifications Technical education (MSc, BSc) in software or electrical engineering Experience working in a customer-facing role, and manufacturing IT and OT systems. Strong project management capabilities in delivering complex technical projects. Experience with advanced data analytics using business intelligence tools or statistical software. Hands-on experience in programming software applications with cloud PaaS solutions (AWS, Google, Microsoft Azure, etc.) Capable of finding creative solutions and strong in execution Expertise in PLC programming Good knowledge in electrical wiring, sensors, drives and motors Creativeness for driving innovative solutions Strong analytical skills Readiness for international travel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in an international work setting Fluent in written and spoken local language and good knowledge of English.
