The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is currently seeking part time rockwall instructors to teach and assist at our indoor rock climbing wall! This part time position starts at $13.00 per hour. DUTIES of a Rockwall Instructor Direct responsibilities of a rockwall instructor include providing adventure programs that teach technical rock climbing skills and safety, lead participants through adventure games and various other activities. The rockwall instructor will also manage and maintain cleanliness of equipment, build and relationships with all staff and program participants, and participate in program activities and meetings. QUALIFICATIONS of a Rockwall Instructor Experience in rockwall instruction is encouraged but not required. CWI certification is preferred (YMCA will provide this training if needed). Candidates must be certified in AED, CPR and First Aid within 30 days of employment.Extended periods of time will be spent standing.
