Families and Youth Innovation Plus is hiring Financial Controller The Financial Controller oversees the preparation of a range of financial reports and audits, participates in projects and activities as required, and assists in the implementation of accounting policies and internal controls for the company. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for executing financial statements and presenting to the senior executives, board members and stakeholders Executes, coordinates & monitors budgeting, accounting and analysis, capital asset administration, cash flow, account reconciliation, accounting system maintenance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax compliance, procurement, audit and payroll. Manages staff and ensures financial operations are carried out to support policies and are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting standards. Improves and streamlines the accounting system and its operations. Reviews reconciliation of balance sheet accounts: assets & depreciation, prepaid accounts, payroll liabilities, etc Post and approves month end entries and year end entries D evelops, implements, and maintains a company Accounting Policy Manual SOP's Monitors systems related to accounting, including invoicing functions and payroll to ensure accuracy Develops financial plans and operational budgets Manages current and annual information to help in forecasting and trends analysis Works with external auditors & coordinates the fiscal year end audits Qualifications and Experience BS or BA in Accounting Accounting management experience (Doctorate) Experience with accounting software such as Great Plains or similar accounting programs Experience supervising accounting staff (Doctorate) Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivables 5 years of experience, including previous management responsibility and comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Compensation is commensurate with experience.
