Maintenance Associate Full Time - Days ** Pay rate up to $19.29/hour; based on experience** United Methodist Communities at Wesley by the Bay, a senior affordable housing community located just blocks from the beach in beautiful Ocean City, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Associate. The Maintenance Associate performs repairs to the site, maintains the community (both internally and externally), equipment, and ensures a well-maintained building and grounds. Requirements for a Maintenance Associate: I have my high school diploma or equivalent. I have a minimum of two years experience in carpentry, electrical and plumbing preferred. Documented apprenticeship or vocational schooling in lieu of two years' experience preferred. Frequent lifting and carrying of articles less than or equal to 35 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of articles greater than 35 pounds with the assistance of a device or lift.' Driver's License. Responsibilities for a Maintenance Associate: Perform building maintenance which includes minor electrical, carpentry, plumbing duties and apartment turnover. Completion of work orders as assigned. Preventative maintenance of all equipment as assigned. Responsible for completion of work orders assigned. Responsible for preventative maintenance on all equipment as assigned. Maintaining of logs for preventative maintenance. Responsible for overall cleaning and sanitizing of offices, public bathrooms, common areas, kitchen grounds, trash and recycling, apartment turnover and all basic cleaning. Responsible for checking Facilities for Work Orders and Preventative Maintenance assigned, closing out when completed and includes any parts used.
