COMPANY PROFILE The Plant Company (TPC) is a newly established business currently operating in its Phase 1 production facility. Phase 1 encompasses a 5 acre greenhouse facility along with a 1.5 acre production barn. This is a state of the art, controlled environment greenhouse for the sustainable production of tropical indoor foliage plants of consistent and exceptional quality. The four core values that identify this company are: Caring About People, Plants, and Process Growth Oriented Customer First "Can Do" Attitude JOB SUMMARY The Human Resources Specialist will assist with gathering, collecting, and maintaining documents and records required for process and policy development. This position will focus on policy and procedure administration, training, and various administrative duties. This position may also be referred to as the " Core Process Guru " specialized in aligning the business with Entrepreneur Operating System (EOS) . The successful candidate will be highly motivated, well organized and have worked in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Document Core Process Traction to create new processes and procedures to streamline functions in a growing company. Proofreads and types documents, SOP's, and correspondence produced by department. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, EOS, and employment law. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Builds and improves engaging EOS processes, New Hire Orientations and Annual Trainings Collaborates with leadership team and process owners to obtain each core process with impeccable attention to detail. Training Spearheads the rollout of HR and EOS related initiatives and communications (i.e., level 10 meetings, IDS - Issue Discuss Solve Method, policy/procedure changes). Support safety team to ensure a safe work environment where accidents are prevented where possible and any injury/incident is handled with the employee's well-being as the top priority. Creation of training opportunities based upon management request and employee feedback. Measure Compliance Tracks 30, 60, 90-day, semi-annual and annual performance review process for compliance, enhancement, and improvement. Ensures accurate onboarding and offboarding processes for all new hires. Maintain impeccable recordkeeping, file maintenance, and compliance binders. Monitoring of core processes and training for continuous improvement and adherence. Measure compliance with data readily available for reports when needed. HR Administration & Resource Maintain accurate key card inventory, data, and compliance reports. Trusted liaison between employees and management Engage associates and spend time in departments to build relationships and knowledge. Represents Human Resources and The Plant Company at business functions in a professional manner as needed. Provide administrative support to Human Resources Performs other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Personable, decisive, and assertive as needed. Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred. TPC utilizes interpretation and translation services if/when needed. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to operate general office equipment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to type 50 words a minute. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Ability to maintain confidential information. PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS: aPHR - Associate Professional in Human Resources - Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) or SHRM - CP - Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Certified Professional or Professional in Human Resources - PHR - Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) or Associate Safety Professional - ASP - Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Preferred associate degree in human resources, business administration, or related area required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Familiarity with EOS business models preferred. Human Resources or equivalent field experience required. 1-2 years of experience in HR disciplines PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to bend, twist, turn, climb, pull, lift, and carry up to 15 pounds frequently throughout the workday.
