Summer Camp Nurse Department: Summer Camp Program Job Status: Full Time (Seasonal) Reports to: Summer Camp Program Director Dates: June 26, 2023 - July 28, 2023* *Orientation will be arranged prior to June 26, 2023 at mutually agreeable date/time FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly) Job Description: Benchmark Camp is a 5-week day camp providing academics and recreation. We serve bright children in grades 1 through 6 who have dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, or other language-based learning differences along with students who need additional help in language arts. Benchmark Camp is in session from June 26, 2023 - July 28, 2023 (closed on July 3rd and 4th). Nurse is expected to be on campus from 7:45 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. when camp is in session. In-service is required from June 22-24, 2023. Oversees all health issues in the school as they relate to students/campers and faculty and staff. Corresponds with parents on health needs of children Provides first aid care and medically prescribed services Provides staff development on health related topics Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of School or Program Director Qualifications: RN, or BSN with PA Licence College degree CPR/First Aid Certification Experience working with children Ability to learn and enforce the camp's safety and operating rules Must pass reference checks and background screenings, which include fingerprint check and sex offender registry check Application Requirements Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume and three professional references including names, telephone numbers, and email addresses.
