Job Description We have kitchen openings for the upcoming season at Walnut Creek Country Club. We are a newly remodeled private club in South Lyon looking to hire friendly, upbeat, reliable staff to join our team. Located 10 minutes from Novi. AM and PM positions are available and start in March and April. Positions include line cooks for casual dining, fine dining, and banquets. We offer competitive wages, flexible schedule, staff meals, uniforms, and health/dental/vision as full-time benefits. We are looking for candidates who have excellent communication skills, enjoy people, along with being self-motivated with a drive to strive to exceed expectations. Experience is a plus, but is not necessary. Must have professional appearance and attitude, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality. Candidates must be available to work, a combination of weekends, evenings and some holidays. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed. Ensure the quality of the food items. Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish for every dish. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Inform F&B service staff of 86'ed items and available menu specials. Follow all company safety and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Maintain a clean and sanitary work station. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Minimum of six months to a year in line cook experience preferred Requires knowledge of food production, storage/handling techniques, and commercial use culinary equipment WORKING CONDITIONS: Requires ability to lift 20-50 pounds frequently; up to 100 pounds infrequently Requires full mobility for entire duration of shift Varying environmentally controlled temperatures from kitchen area and coolers. TEAM BENEFITS Uniforms are professionally cleaned and laundered for all kitchen staff.
