Human Resources Manager Composite Energy Technologies (CET) in Bristol, RI is looking to hire a full-time Human Resources Manager to support all aspects of our Engineering and Manufacturing operation. Reporting to the President, this exempt position manages and executes human resources responsibilities including, but not limited to, recruitment, compensation, payroll, benefits and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, employee relations, productivity, recognition and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and employee/team development. Additional Details This full-time in-person position works a typical schedule of 7 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday with some longer hours or weekend work when needed. This position earns a competitive salary . Collaborates with senior management to understand the Company's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting and retention Implement effective recruitment strategy, interviews and hires new staff; pre-screen applicants and determine applicant eligibility Submits online background and E-Verify requests, tracking status of candidates for onboarding requirements; plans and conducts new employee orientation including preparation of new hire orientation packages. Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits. Maintains accurate employee records including employee files and bulleting boards and ensures confidentiality of information Coordinate the data in HRIS and Payroll system, including employee, benefit and compensation details Maintain/approve weekly time-cards and write and maintain notes; Process weekly payroll Reviews payroll, benefits or other HR programs to ensure proper deductions and recordkeeping and recommends corrective action where necessary. Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment Track PTO and maintain and support a variety of reports and HR Key Performance Indicators Ensures constructive and timely performance evaluations; consults with management in employment decisions; assists in termination process Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies; Coordinate benefits invoicing and COBRA; provide Workers' Compensation, FMLA. Leave and Unemployment Claim information Coordinates and handles open enrollments, changes and training for employee benefit programs. Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, implementing and administering policies and helping resolve work-related problems and conflicts. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with Company policy; lead necessary investigations and disciplinary/corrective actions. Represent organization at personnel related hearings and investigations Understand training needs to design employee development and training programs; research outside programs and grants and ensure compliance; evaluate and monitor training program results and communicate with others involved in training efforts, providing effective growth and development opportunities Monitors and ensures the Company's compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain and ensure compliance; manage all applicable employment and OSHA workplace postings and logs Maintains up-to-date knowledge of trends, best practices and regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law; coach and advise site leadership in HR best practices and issues affecting employees Develops and implements departmental budget; assist with financial records and controls for management, tax and financial reporting. Plan, organize and facilitate employee events; encourage interaction and morale-building opportunities Administer various programs and functions such as job fairs, health fairs, picnics, recognition awards, etc.; Lead Employee Engagement Committee Assist in the development of job descriptions to align with future business needs and local markets and ensure saved and updated regularly Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the Company First point of contact for COVID-19 concerns such as contact tracing, reporting and communication with affected individuals; implement and enforce Company policies regarding vaccination/testing requirements, mask requirements, distance and sanitation requirements, including postings thereof Maintain employee handbook and ensure [verify] Corporate and Employee compliance Performs other related duties as assigned. Extended hours and weekend work as required.
