EFK Moen, LLC, a civil engineering design consulting firm, is currently seeking an entry level Survey Instrument Operator for a full-time position. Under the direct supervision of the Crew Chief and Survey Director, this position is responsible for assisting with daily operation within the Survey Department. EFK Moen, LLC, offers a locally competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Job location will be in our St. Louis Office. Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for Survey Equipment maintenance including calibration, function, and cleanliness, as well as inventory and restocking of supplies Transport equipment and supplies to the survey vehicle prior to travel to the jobsite and upon return from the jobsite; clean and prepare equipment for next use as needed Clear underbrush for instrument sighting; mark survey stakes as directed Operates instruments and measuring devices need to complete different types of survey work assignments including electronic data collectors as directed by Crew Chief to assemble company standardized information Learn and become familiar with descriptions, techniques, and coding for data collection Maintain clear, concise, and accurate field notes for field data logs Supports the Survey Crew Chief to efficiently complete tasks assigned to field crew Qualifications/Skills: High school diploma: Associate or bachelor's degree with relevant coursework preferred 0-5 years of experience in land surveying Attention to detail and basic math skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and coworkers Valid Driver's License Must be authorized to work in the United States Physical Qualifications: Requires strong physical ability to lift and transport up to 40 or 50 pounds for extended time Demonstrate flexibility and/or agility, as well as hand dexterity to operate equipment/tools Willingness to endure any/all weather conditions, as well as possible exposures to poisonous plants, insects, snakes, and animals Job duties may require both field work and office work Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time Ability to commute and/or travel long distances and/or stay overnight at project locations for extended time EFK Moen, LLC offers its full-time employees: Paid Time Off (PTO) Health, Dental and Vision Insurance 401(k) with No-Match Company Contribution Short and Long-Term disability coverage Support of professional organization membership and activities Work-life balance through a flexible, casual work environment A culture of mentoring and teamwork EFK Moen is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.
