The Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council, an organization focused on building courage, confidence, and character, is looking to hire for our upcoming camp season at Skyland Ranch in Southern California. This is a rewarding temporary position consisting of approximately 45 working days, competitive wages, and free room and board. Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio offers an opportunity for you to make a difference in the lives of girls and young women. Our Council owns and operates Skyland Ranch, a magnificent 192-acre camp property in the San Jacinto Mountains below the town of Idyllwild. About the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council As a mission-driven organization with a broad geographic reach, our Council focuses on transforming the Inland Empire from a region struggling with low income and limited upward mobility to a success story for healthy families. Our Council territory encompasses the counties of Riverside and most of San Bernardino, serving a diverse population of girls in a geographic region with one of the highest poverty rates in the country. Girl Scouts fuels economic and social progress by helping girls overcome challenges, achieve educational parity, and triumph over the cultural, social, and individual factors that could otherwise hinder them from reaching their fullest potential. Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, currently serves more than 8,000 registered Girl Scouts in partnership with more than 4,500 adult volunteers A Day in the Life for our Kitchen Staff As part of our Kitchen Staff, you awake each day ready to make a positive difference in the lives of our camp participants. You assist the Kitchen Lead with all daily kitchen operations including packout, preparation, serving, cooking, clearing, and dish washing as necessary. You help open and close the kitchen, maintain organized and sanitary eating and serving areas, adhere to safety and health regulations, and more! You love that you get to be involved in such a variety of tasks and get great satisfaction out of making a positive impact in the lives of those you serve.
