Family Services is a non-profit organization that protects, heals and cares for children and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Family Services is strongly committed to protecting children and vulnerable individuals from abuse and exploitation. When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully. Parent Connection, a comprehensive and intensive home visitation program, has an opening for a Family Support Specialist working 20 hours a week based out of our Oshkosh office. T his position establishes a trusting relationship with families by delivering service that is culturally competent, strength-based, family centered, and family directed through home visitation. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in human services or related field or equivalent experience. Minimum experiences include up to two years' experience in the field of early childhood education, maternal/child health, family life education, home visitation, or related human services field. Strong interpersonal skills are needed for this position as are knowledge of community resources. Candidates must be able to work with a diverse population in ways that are culturally competent, non-judgmental, supportive, and empowering; the ideal candidate will be flexible. Home visitation experience is a plus. A driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
