Scientific Operations Manager Pharmaron is seeking a Scientific Operations Manager (SOM) to support project management of various study types that comprise our Biologics and CGT services. The SOM will work in a team-based environment to lead the project management of bioanalytical and analytical studies involving the development, optimization, and validation of assays supporting in-vitro, in-vivo, and clinical sample analysis. This role is also responsible for coordinating administrative functions on a daily basis to facilitate protocol building and finalization and all customer communication. The latter includes timely and accurate communication with customers on protocols, study scheduling, shipping details, and study timelines. The individual will perform these activities with minimal supervision and liaise with the account and project management teams, in-life group, and bioanalytical scientists to coordinate the scheduling of such studies. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage projects for Biologics and CGT service types (Ligand binding assays, cell-based assays, potency, immunogenicity, etc.) Communicate with Sponsors about current and upcoming projects within the above service types and maintain meeting minutes. Superior verbal and written communication skills are required. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (experience with GLP and cGMP studies is a plus), operational, and administrative procedures Organize multiple internal delivery teams and manage resources across services for the timely execution of Sponsor deliverables Determine accurate internal and external timelines for study prioritization Contribute to process development and organizational improvement for the operations team as a whole Track study metrics to improve production and efficiency Contribute to finding innovative solutions for recurring obstacles Projecting the fulfillment of itemized deliverables per the study scope of work Provide assistance with writing and editing study reports, protocols, and summaries EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE At least BS with 5+ years of experience, M.S. degree with 2-4 years of experience, or Ph.D. in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or a related field Understanding of various pharmaceutical testing procedures and experimental designs Strong grasp of grammar and language Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel Position is Onsite in Woburn, MA Pharmaron is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer
