Description:
Material Handlers are responsible for the movement and storing of all incoming, outgoing, internal products or materials. Responsibilities Verifies amount of incoming/outgoing cargo against shipping manifests, such as but not limited to: bills of lading, shipping ticket, air waybill, driver tickets. Operates forklift in a safe and efficient manner while stacking skids, loading and unloading delivery vehicles. Assists in loading/unloading of truck shipments according to current procedures. Locates and secures all cargo received in designated areas and properly distributes paperwork to designated workplace. Reports instances and records condition of damaged cargo to supervisor. Abides by all safety systems, including wearing protective equipment. Conducts inventory counts upon request. Responsible for handling and disposing of scrap per company policy. Checks received material using quality tools and enters data into the system. Provides materials to press operators in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Forklift certification plus 1 year relevant experience. Safety requirements knowledge. Basic quality tools knowledge. Ability to use pallet jack, a gas or electric powered forklift to load and unload, move or stack products. Basic mathematical skills and use of PC. Able to work in a fast paced environment. MJ Celco, Inc. will provide necessary training for the qualified person.
