Position Summary: This fast paced position provides an opportunity to rapidly gain engineering experience in a hands-on environment. The successful candidate will use their experience in engineering to develop retrofit solutions for Transport Category Aircraft. Work side by side with the Airline Customers and support the modification of customer aircraft in the field. Primary Responsibilities: Project Management Responsible for developing aircraft modifications per project plan. Develop and manage program enablers and ensure their timely and high quality delivery. Ensure timely delivery of engineering projects. Manage subcontractors and associated cost and delivery. Engineering Develop retrofit solutions global architecture. Retrofit engineering drawings with a focus on speed, quality, and cost. Determine the kits needed to support the retrofit design. Certification Develop the aircraft certification plan. Support the certification process as required. Aircraft Modification Support Support onsite modification team as required including direct onsite support at customer or MRO facility. Answer/resolve queries regarding work instruction and kit delivery. Experience / Skills / Training: 3 years in aircraft modification experience, specifically narrow body aircraft cabin preferred. Project management experience preferred. Google Suite experience preferred. 3 years total analysis experience in airframe design/repair programs preferred. Internship in the aerospace engineering field with airframe analysis experience is preferred. Ability to write reports, technical memorandums, interface agreements, work statements and requirements documents using technical English. Ability to effectively present information to internal and external customers. Experience with Python or other programming language preferred Education: BS degree in engineering or related field Communication Skills: Must understand, read and write proficiently in the English language to read and understand appropriate manuals, schematics, and technical information to adequately perform duties. Conversational in French and/or German is a plus, but not required. Travel Required: Up to 5% Domestic and International Eligibility: Authorized to Work in the US Nature of Contacts: Communication on a regular basis with both internal and external parties.
