The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced technical professional to grow our Product Management team as a Category Managers. Essential Job Functions: The Product Category Manager will contribute efforts towards improving the overall profit margin of an assigned sub-set of products. Key responsibilities include working with supporting departments to drive sales, control costs, manage inventory levels, and make strategic decisions all assigned products. • Understand the Product Category assigned including surrounding complimentary products, line items, and functionality applications • Maintain the integrity of category data for accurate reporting • Engage weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales data to inform inventory levels • Interact with manufacturing and vendor representatives to identify supplier needs • Work with manager to develop and maintain annual business plans per vendor • Assist vendors with the development of go-to-market strategy for specific products • Understand the vision, growth strategy and yearly distribution plan for assigned vendors • Point of contact with Sales team regarding directives within assigned categories including promotions, product launches, and discontinuations • Point of contact with Product Support Specialists and Purchasing regarding forecasting, timelines, and product purchasing initiatives for the current year for assigned categories • Initiate and maintain all resources pertaining to the progress tracking of an assigned category including reporting, growth measurements, and P/L visibility • Analyze all reports and data pertaining to sales and purchases to provide an account for all buying and selling trends within an assigned product category Education and Experience: • BA or BS in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or relevant field • 5 years of experience in Product Management, Vendor Relations, Operations Management, or relevant role • Water Industry experience preferred Skills Qualifications: • Thrive in an environment where interpersonal interaction is required daily • Ability to work collaboratively and independently • Time management skills with maintenance of a highly interactive calendar • Capable of communicating relevant information to those at various levels within the organization • Flexibility when navigating through organizational or industry changes • Intermediate computer ability (Excel, Outlook, various communication platforms) • Commitment to representing Fresh Water Systems in alignment with organizational mission and values The Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
