Stephenson Equipment, Inc. (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania and New York providing sales, rentals, parts, and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment, has an immediate need for an experienced Human Resources Generalist. The HR Generalist will process the administrative tasks within the HR Department. The position is also responsible for providing administrative support, as needed, to the HR Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to: Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. Creates, updates, posts, and removes postings from the Company's Applicant Tracking System including, but not limited to, assigning openings to appropriate managers, assuring accurate status assignments of candidates and conducting pre-screen interviews; participate on scheduling on-site interviews, job fairs, and campus recruiting efforts. Assist the Payroll coordinator to maintain and update relevant HRIS data within the HRIS and the internal server. Manage the onboarding process prior to a new employee starting by conducting background checks and employee eligibility verifications; schedule required post-offer, random and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol screenings. Assists HRM in the implementation of new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. Oversee accurate tracking and compliance of time-off programs, specifically leave and FMLA administration. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters appropriately. Maintains accurate benefit enrollment records electronically; respond to employee inquiries. Coordinate recordkeeping with injured employees (workers' compensation,) workers' compensation carrier and SEI safety personnel. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications. Performs other duties as assigned.
