Position Summary: As part of the FAL Method's leadership team, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to any industrial upstream affecting the A220 Flowline in Mobile. The candidate will coordinate all aspects of the projects to get the upstream successfully implemented in Mobile FAL minimizing issues. He/She will coordinate with all the functions in Mobile (Production, ME, Quality, Site Services, management, etc.) and Mirabel to make sure that the project is well industrialized. Primary Responsibilities: Reporting to the A220 ME director in Mobile and A220 Ramp-up in Mirabel, as part of your duties, you will be required to: Develop, participate, maintain and improve the industrial Engineering strategy Actively participate in the sequence of production activities for the assembly positions. Responsible for bringing balance in the required manpower according to the organizational needs. With the team's participation, you will define all working standards, balance and configure the different positions and assembly line in order to accommodate the different changes in pace Analyze and make observations and measurements in order to determine rations of value-added activities Evaluate and propose key indicators in order to measure the assembly process productivity and performance measures. Identify and propose continuous improvement projects Participate and lead the kaizen workshops in order to resolve problems and implement solutions all while involving the group Satisfy all the requirements to implement the assigned industrial upstream projects successfully during all phases of the project G2, G5 and G9 Additional Responsibilities: May serve as a project lead on various assignments or initiatives Performs independent research and participates in the development of solutions to solve complex problems Responsible for evaluating multiple options and making recommendations to management based on the most appropriate processes and methods Qualified Experience / Skills / Training / Education / Experience: You hold a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering You have between 3-5 years' experience in the manufacturing field implementing industrial engineering projects You demonstrate strong project management skills You have strong communication and interpersonal relations skills (French and English) Your demonstrate strong leadership skills You have a strong ability to manage your priorities and overcome setbacks Mastering the techniques of industrial engineering and the concepts of lean manufacturing are essential. You have a high level of initiative, are autonomous, innovator and practical Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Good knowledge of diagnostic tools such as VSM, material flow analysis, capacity analysis, etc. You have the ability to develop comprehensive industrial engineering strategies Licensure/Certifications: None Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Required Knowledge of Airbus Industries mechanical process & methods Knowledge of Airbus IT Tools. A220 IT tools knowledge Knowledge of common applications such as SAP for Airbus A220 Familiarity with the American aviation market Knowledge about aircraft structures, systems, electrical, and cabin installations. Knowledge of rules for aircraft design and manufacturing. Intercultural experience. Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and practices. Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages): Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification. Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Working on jigs at the fuselage at a height of 15 feet. Able to work on hydraulic lifts sometimes at a height of up to 40 feet. Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects. Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 20lbs/9kg. Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas. Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings. Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves. Able to work outside hangers in changing locations. Able to work on movable lifts at the aircraft at a height of approximately 40 ft. Sometimes may work in a ventilated fuel tank with a mask in a confined space. Able to enter through a 9.8 by 17.7 inch oval opening. Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information. Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time. Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
