Telecommunication Specialist

Description:
Thompson Engineering is looking for a Telecommunication Specialist to work on a large construction program at Tyndall AFB, FL. Assignment will be for 1 year (base) and potentially 3 years. Must have minimum 5 years' experience with underground fiber and copper communication utility installation, inspection, and testing. Experience with military construction and the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) is favorable, but not a requirement. The Fiber Optic Association Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) certification or similar is favorable, but not a requirement. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 5 years of experience with underground fiber and copper communication utility installation, inspection, and testing. Experience with military construction and the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFCGS) is preferred but not required Excellent math skills Proficient in Microsoft Office These characteristics are a plus: Military Construction experience Air Force Installation Experience State of Florida experience Corps of Engineers experience with Resident Management System (RMS)
