Dibble Engineering is looking for a skillful and highly motivated Project Engineer to join our Airport Development practice in either our Phoenix, AZ office or our Denver, CO office. This is an opportunity for you to join our fine group of respected professionals. SUMMARY : This role of Project Engineer is responsible for preparation of detailed design for airside and landside airport infrastructure and development projects. Additionally, this individual will be accountable for developing concepts, preliminary design reports, technical memorandums, developing technical specifications and final construction documents for a variety of unique projects. Experience in airport infrastructure, apron/taxiway redesign and reconstruction, airport traffic circulation, passenger terminal analysis, mitigation efforts, etc. is preferred. This role reports to the Airport Development Practice Leader. ACCOUNTABILITIES : Prepare construction plans, technical specifications, technical studies and reports. Prepare quantity take-offs and/or calculations. Coordinates with various disciplines on complex airport facility projects, including survey, drainage, utility, and specialty sub-consultants; electrical engineers, architects, and structural engineers. Direct CAD designers and less experienced staff in the preparation and production of construction plans. Provide quality reviews of personal work and work by designers in accordance with Company's quality control program and processes. Assist in construction administration and inspection of projects, including the preparation of inspection reports, material quantity verification, and reviewing and responding to contractor material submittals, RFI's, and change order requests. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications : The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and have a strong commitment to the Values of the Company. He/She will have the ability to participate in complex and high value projects, manage multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality of effectiveness, make sound decisions for the benefit of the project and the Company, and be able to consistently meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality. This candidate should also be able to effectively communicate to all levels of the project team including technicians, engineers, sub-consultants, and clients in a professional and respectful manner. Knowledge and application of FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction. Including but not limited to: runways, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons, grading/drainage, and pavement markings. Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of civil and/or airport/aviation engineering principles. Demonstrate competence in the use and application of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Including but not limited to: horizontal and vertical control/geometry, incorporation and interpretation of survey data, creating point files and surfaces, and creating plans and profiles. Ability to mentor and train other CAD Designers and Engineers-in-Training. Strong technical writing skills, and ability to convey engineering decisions and concepts to non-technical and technically based audiences. Able to organize and multi-task efficiently. Prioritize and meet multiple deadlines. Ability to work within a variety of team environments, including varying team sizes and personnel. Education and Experience: Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field, from an accredited college. Must be at least a registered 3rd year Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineer license, registered in the State of Arizona or the State of Colorado within 1-2 years. Minimum 3 years of Civil / Aviation Engineering experience. Minimum 3 years of increasing experience and application of AutoCAD Civil 3D. WHO IS DIBBLE ENGINEERING ?
